add amps and loss dB's

Ok I was running 2 Crescendo bc3500 strapped at .4omh On 3 re mt's doing a 53. Add and 1 more bc3500 now running at 1omh. And I've loss 2 db. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them.

A lot of reasons. Amperage, maybe it's too much power, could also be rise. If at a given frequency you jumped 4x, you go from .4 to 1.6ohms at the amp. But at 1 ohm you jump to 4 ohms. Could just be a lot of loss, I woikdnt have done 3 amps anyways. I had three RF T4000s but was louder with just one single amp.

Strapped at .4? So... .2ohm each?

Say conservatively that you're seeing 4x rise. That's an easy 4k per amp for 8k total from (2) amps.

Assuming rise is similar at 1 ohm each... that's 1 ohm rising to 4 ohms per amp. Maybe 2k each. So... 6k total from (3) amps.

No big mystery here.
