Like the one in my Ranger (had that same mustard colored plastic clip, removed in picture below) and for my old boombox. audiofanaticz Posted December 3, 2013 Report Share Posted December 3, 2013 That style plug are generally used as satellite radio, or gps antennas as others said. are you sure this plug is for that aux device and not for something else? are you going aftermarket headunit in the vehicle, and hence why your wanting to retain the jump seat aux port? If so what headunit are you getting? why not run a USB cable from the new headunit to the jump seat. 3.5mm plugs are trash, and really easy to clip device plugged into that 3.5mm jack making everything else clip.
