oldsoundguy
So I am thinking of taking one set of the RE audio component sets and trying running them active off of the SQ 120 amp. Might as well as no one is trying to buy the sets of speakers yet. So does anyone have experience running a component set passive then using the same set to run active? What was the difference if any? Thanks for the help. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/

It will set you dead nut where you want. I can send you mine if you need. oldsoundguy
I have the DD-1 and CC-1 but thanks for the offer. So can you give me an idea what to set the cross overs at? I am not sure if the soundqubed 120.4 is capable of running active. I know the CT sounds 125.4 I had did but never used it. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
oldsoundguy
Ok so I talked to soundqubed but did a bunch of reading and I understand how to adjust the amp to run a component set without the passive cross over and run ( kinda active). For now I will install the new set of 4 AQ coax speakers I received today. I will only use two channels and wire the two speakers together. Yes they will be wired @ 2 ohms and the amp puts out 170 @ 2ohms but split that into the two speakers and they will be getting 85w each. If I hook them up like I had before it would be 120w per speaker @ 4 ohms so I think this might be better until I decide what I want to do as far as a front stage. Still thinking about it. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/

oldsoundguy
Crap when out to my truck last night and saw something weird with the front pass tire. I looked under and the whole inside 2" of the rtire were down to the wire. I was like WTH so both front tires are wasted. I made an appointment for a front end alignment at the Toyota dealership. Took the day off work and first thing this morning I went to les schwab and bought two new tires. Then dropped the truck off to have it checked out and hopefully just do an alignment and done. I hope nothing in the front suspension is broke. I did lower the truck 2 inches with drop springs about a year and half ago and had slight inside tire wear but not bad. Then I did rotation just a few months ago and now my tires are wasted. I am just glad I caught it now instead of having a blow out at freeway speed. That would of sucked even more. Still waiting for the call from the dealer. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
JNells
Holy, that's some wicked camber.. Hopefully it's nothing more serious and after alignment your good to go. Or maybe those hdc3s are breaking your ball joints and control arms lol. Malibu Build Log
oldsoundguy
Actually it was toe that was killing the tires. Everything was within spec except for the toe. It was 3/4" out of wack. 300 bucks later for tires and 98 for an alignment. Damn that sucked. 80prs Arc Audio Xdi 1200.6 (using active crossovers) Freaking awesome amplifier Incriminator IA 10.1 Focal PS 130v 5.25 (doors) 4" Faital pro Neo (kick panels) 3" Faital pro Neo and focal tweets( dash) DC Audio level 3 12" custom box designed by joex built by me AGM front, XS 750SE batteries rear DC 180 alt 99 Toyota Tacoma extra cab http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/179476-my-small-build-turned-into-the-ongoing-build/
