Krakin
I own the amp, the only way I fixed the thermal shutdown was to throw 4ga power wires and I doubled 14 ga speaker wire to my one sub. I also don't have bad voltage drop -reading from the not instantaneous cluster meter-. In my opinion the amp can't be doing anything near rated under 4-ohm, I've ran it at 1 ohm and 2 ohms -different drivers- and my "ear-o-meter" didn't tell a difference. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. Guest
inefficient amp and over rated. good headunits, shit everything else. sell it and get a different amp, honestly.
hazestorm23
I bought some Kenwood excel on amps once. Only to sell them lol I guess people thought they were worth alot since you could control those amps with a head unit they made as well. I opened one only to see it more empty than my first power acoustik amp
Daniel Harbeson
The best way to compare this amp to another amp for instance a crescendo 3500. Would be like comparing mpg on a h1 hummer to a bmw 7series.
