Jeep03 Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 I just bought 2x X-12 Sundowns dual 4 OHM and plan on powering them up with a Hifonics BRX2400.1D. wired at 1ohm. My question is does this amp perform 2400W at 1ohm? Just want to make sure before I wire this bad boys up. First one is from BestBuy and the other one is from SonicElectronix Handles up to 4800W maximum power To deliver robust audio. Up to 1600W maximum power @ 4 ohms or up to 2400W maximum power @ 2 ohms. Up to 850W continuous power @ 4 ohms or up to 1600W continuous power @ 2 ohms. While another site says these. RMS Power Rating (@ 14.4V): 4 ohms: 850 watts x 1 chan. 2 ohms: 1600 watts x 1 chan. 1 ohm: 2400 watts x 1 chan
bigmizzle99 Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Hifonics.com says it will do 2400 @ 1 ohm. Sounds good to me Camaro SS Build Altima build 2.0 Altima build 1.0
Jeep03 Posted December 7, 2013 Author Report Posted December 7, 2013 Ahhhh right on. Forgot to check there.
Azagtoth502 Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Lol of course the company will say it will perform. pa-pa-platypus sorry not everybody has a companies nuts so far down their throat they catch every drop ball sweat when it falls
Guest Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 you won't see 2400 after voltage drop and such. probably like 1500 or 1800. depending on a million factors
MREYNA Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Maybe one amp for each sub. Lol 94 GMC ext cab 4 12" big bang 2 big bang2400.1 Mids & highs comin' soon
Grant Whalen Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 they will say they will perform but i had a hifonics amp and it does power the subs well however distorts at high wattage
hazestorm23 Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Unless you have the right electrical don't run these. Even then I wouldn't run these especially with those subs. You wouldnt have the cleanest bass ever There is better and more efficient amps. Is price a factor on this build?
BigGains Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 Not even close to doing rated, plus those amps are power hungry! My .02 if it was me id save up for a sundown amp..... but I wouldn't trust that hifonics amp 2003 silverado TEAM DC Pioneer Avh 5500 4 DC lvl 5 18s 12 crescendo pwx 6.5s 4 crescendo ft1 tweets 6xs d3400s Singer 400 alt Skyhigh ofc wires Skyhigh speaker wires Smd vm1 2 DC 175.4 DC 10k
Michael Drush Posted December 7, 2013 Report Posted December 7, 2013 I bought 3 BRX 2000.1 - I want to know where I can get the Balanced input connector. Also so pin detail would be good then I could just build my own. Its a 6 pin female conn' on the Amp. I need it to convert to RCA - Also if it is to be a truly balance input it would require some phase circuitry components to cross cancel signal noise. Been searching everywhere and I cant understand why Hifonics places a connector on the Amp but has not detailed info as to the hook up or install ???? Zapco offers a Symbilink Option for sale. WOuld this pin configuration match the Hifonics ?
