chvse_esvhc Posted December 15, 2013 Author Report Posted December 15, 2013 Once a week I will trickle charge the batteries to full capacity w/ a C-Tek Multi-US 7002.
Miguels Posted December 15, 2013 Report Posted December 15, 2013 my brother has a DC power alt 270a a deka under the hood and 2 kinetik hc2000 in the rear.. after i tuned his ride with the DD-1 he only dropped to 13.6 at idle and he is running a bc3500 so with this guy having d3100 he shouldnt be getting any drop unless he tuned wrong my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/

CNF Kevosinn Posted December 16, 2013 Report Posted December 16, 2013 you dont need a bigger alt to run 5k I ran 2 3500's @.5 in my subaru with a dc 230xp and 4 batteries. try adding a few more grounds. maybe one off the rear batts to the frame and another off front battery to frame. adding grounds always helps my voltage *** SuperSeller Status Verified *** ( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers/ ) "kevosinn's" astro van 8 custom Sundown Zv4 18's 4 Sundown scv 6000's CNF Distribution CNC parts Skyhigh wire some batteries SMD Meters and tools used on the installhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172877-kevosinns-vanwest-coast-skyhigh-car-audio-vehicle/ 16,000 watt walled silverado build.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161965-walled-silverado-4-hdc4-15s-4-crescendo-3500s-and-much-more/ 8,000 watt 1999 Subaru legacy outback. MASTER T KILLA Posted December 17, 2013 Report Posted December 17, 2013 I was completly unaware that clipping caused voltage drops, I may need to have someone put a DD on my amp cause I really don't see any voltage drops BUT the song Make It Rain with Lil'Wayne and Fat Joe the beginning part that isn't even really bass it's more of a higher note actually it makes it almost look like I'm flashing my headlights at people. 200A alt from police Interceptor 1/0 Audio pipe wire Interstate starter battery Kinetik HC1200 Kinetik HC800 Powerbass Asa 1500.1 Dx Orion HCCA 12.4 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis LS (CVB 25th Chapter) Alpine Head Unit stock 6x9's Powerbass ASA 1500.1Dx FC 1200 krank-it up battery HC 800 Kinetik battery Orion HCCA 12.4 in slot ported box wired down to 2 ohms Audiopipe 1/0 gauge wire Rockford fosgate ring terminals Subscribe to the Youtube page http://www.youtube.com/user/TManMusicPage

Yes I find it weird it ONLY does it on THAT part of that song other then that no voltage drop, no dimming lights, nothing but i still turned the gain down a hair. 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis LS (CVB 25th Chapter) Alpine Head Unit stock 6x9's Powerbass ASA 1500.1Dx FC 1200 krank-it up battery HC 800 Kinetik battery Orion HCCA 12.4 in slot ported box wired down to 2 ohms Audiopipe 1/0 gauge wire Rockford fosgate ring terminals Subscribe to the Youtube page http://www.youtube.com/user/TManMusicPage
Guest Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 different frequencies makes the woofers impedance change. lower impedance = more power = more current drawn from electrical. your amp can also clip at lets say 60hz but be fine at 30hz on X woofer.
