hazestorm23
^^^ agree if you want real power from a small package the rf pbr line is the way to go
iceman1575
I'll put the PBR into consideration. If I'm going to go that route though I'd have to buy two amps. I had thought about getting two small 4-channel's so I could bi-amp, may improve sound versus passive only. Speakers would either bet the Sundown SA 6.5's or a set of Crescendo PWX's with FT1's is what I'm looking at right now. POTATO!

iceman1575
How many speakers total are you powering up? Just 2 pairs of 6.5" components, so a 6.5 and a tweeter/supertweeter POTATO!
hazestorm23
What are the ratings on each speaker. And you want to run door speakers and tweets at the same frequency? I would suggest running door speakers seperately and buying a different amp for the tweets

I would suggest running door speakers seperately and buying a different amp for the tweets For the Sundown SA components, they only say 60w RMS per side, as for the individual components I'm not sure. Tje pbrs are where.its at for this Looking around, I did see the PBR300X4 which does 75 watts a channel, which may work perfect...I can use one for all four in passive mode until I can purchase a second one, then work on bi-amping the components for a little more headroom. I just have to figure out how I can do that with using the high-level inputs, since there's no RCA's...who knows, may not even need a second one. And while I hate to ask, is there any reputable dealers on eBay I can trust? Prices there are lower than the retail price on Crutchfield, so I'm a little worried, don't want to waste my money and get screwed... POTATO! rocking.that.eclipse
I thought I saw something about crescendo releasing a mini amp soon
bcbrassard
Remember RF amps are under rated. My PBRs birthsheet was 84 rms per ch. Dont let the small amp fool you. I never installed mine, still new in the box waiting to go into my brothers Ranger.
iceman1575
I thought I saw something about crescendo releasing a mini amp soon May have to keep an eye out then. Crescendo was my second choice in door speaker to the Sundown's, but the choice isn't made yet. Remember RF amps are under rated. My PBRs birthsheet was 84 rms per ch. Dont let the small amp fool you. I never installed mine, still new in the box waiting to go into my brothers Ranger. I know, that's why if I do get a second amp, I want to get something that can handle it. I'm sure the components could if I kept it clean, but would rather find something that could use that power to it's advantage. I just want something that sounds good. POTATO!
