Guess what It did just that a win from a defensive move or an offensive attack is still a win. I don't think he intended to break Silva's leg but that was the outcome and it was a perfect check it would have hurt bad no matter if it broke his leg or not. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

eltortuga94 Posted December 29, 2013 Report Posted December 29, 2013 The thing I personally don't get is this whole "Weidman needs to prove himself", "Wasn't a win", "Silva is a better fighter", "Silva is the best in the world". All that stuff. Dana White has always said he won't pick fights because it can go either way and you never know who, or how the fight will end. Fact is, Weidman won. Both fights. You can't nitpick everything he does and say he's a bad fighter, and you can't say that Silva is the best ever cause of his record. Because anybody could lose a fight, or win, at any given second. Now if Silva poked Weidman in the eye or kicked him in the groin and the ref ends the match and Weidman wins, then no, that wouldn't be a way to "win" a fight. But Silva threw a faint kick, Weidman checked, Silva went go-go gadget silly puddy leg. End of story. Weidman won both fights. I think everybody should move on. And really we shouldn't turn this into BJJ vs Wrestling, cause neither one is technically better than the other. IDK. Maybe it's just me, but IMO Weidman won fair & square. It sucks that Silva broke his leg, but that's what happens. Edit: Of course he would've wanted to finish Silva. I'm pretty sure every fighter ever would love to finish their fight. but it doesn't always happen like that. He won, with a legit move. So what if the fight wasn't "Finished", there's no guarantee that Weidman would've knocked SIlva out again anyways. He probably happy he won at all. Regardless of how.
