Now I had a shop Ricky Smith audio wire up my headrest tvs an headunit an they came from along firewall into fuse box an they had all wire balled up under console 09 mustang gt
alaskanzx5 Posted January 2, 2014 Report Posted January 2, 2014 if it was their wiring of the tvs that created the fire they will have to pay for everything (just saying based on the ball of wiring behind console it could be the issue). dont know if it is possible to pin point actual cause of the fire with how bad and fast it was though. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

I had a fuse block melt so bad it almost shorted to ground glad I noticed it before it did. here is something to think about, if you use fuses up front and have three runs of power to a back battery bank you need three fuses right? well no. toysareforboys Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 I'm sure it's not the same where you live but where I am in Canada my HOME insurance company covered everything that "wasn't bolted to my car". They covered my nitrous bottle, subwoofers, wiring, a few tools, etc. They wouldn't cover the amp and aftermarket alternator because they were "bolted to the car" but my car insurance had built in coverage for up to $3000 in undisclosed accessories so everything was covered in the end. Glad you are OK and I hope the insurance company comes through for ya. -Jamie M.

That really sucks sorry to hear that!! Could of been from a electrical taped connection... I ALWAYS use snow caps then tape them up.... never ever just electrical tape wires together.. ( not saying that caused the fire but it deff CAN cause a fire) tape gets warm slides off, wa-la Open hot end wire! J/S! Really hope you had Full coverage insurance!! *Rose-Villian*
