I've also owned a 96 clone with a floor shifter not that hard to do. Best way to tell is check the spid sticker it's on the inside of the trunk lid if. Make sure the vin# on it matches the dash vin if it does then Look for wx3 and g80 in the numbers if it's not there it's a caprice. You can also check the drivers side door sticker it should list the tire size 255/50/17 anything else it's a caprice. Neither of those stickers is there pull out the passenger side seat it has a build sheet on the bottom of it make sure the vin matches the dash vin this will also have the wx3 code on it. One last sticker to check under the hood just below the left hood latch there is another sticker that will have the wx3 code on it if it's a true impala. You can also check for signs that the car was anything other than black,Maroon, or green before it was painted those are the only three colors the impala came in so anything else it's a caprice That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
