Now tell me what's wrong with this picture. Also, I would like to know how they plan on getting 7000+ out of an amp that only has 350 amps of internal fusing and one set of input terminals....

Naw your right he is a sundown guy DOWN talking stetsom

And that amp will do 7000+

TommyK isnt a "Sundown Guy" so get your facts straight before you assume

hey as anyone ever heard of or have a amp from stetsom my freind has some at his shop they look really simple just rca in gain and x over they are very small the 3000w amp is only about 12" long seems unbelevable from such a small amp but he says it kicks ass they also make 16volt models for spl some models work at 10v and run full power at 12v.

This is what i now! not what i heard! I used these amps daily and for comps and i have never had one fail on me, These amps have a 1 year full warranty. Every time someone says STETSOM's you will have people that love them that use them, and the other people that want to throw negative bull shit about them but some how "heard" things about the amps, Next time you should direct the question to the people that have them, they will tell you the truth, i know i would if i was burned by them, i would be the biggest & loudest guy out there,

People fear the unknown, if they don't understand it they discredit it, i read some BS that stetsom uses or makes there own fuses, which they don't. My buddy took his 7K to an amp specialist to see what could we do too pump it up, and he fell in love with the 7KD because of the hand solder and all the detail that was put in this amp, he could not find anything wrong. As for the fuses they can be bought on ebay " Little Fuses" these things are bad ass they will do 200% over there rated power for 3 sec., maybe the other amp company 's should follow the same and put in the best in the product.

As for the other people that say they can't get a qoute on the amps or why they are so discreet, it's because Stetsom is a small company that is doing big things and they don't want me to sell these amps to just anyone, because they don't want to screw with the Dealers that sell them, If you want one and there is no dealer around you i can qoute you a price all you have to do is just ask and PM me.

Like i said before the the 2K6D is a 2ohm stable amp that will do 3800watts, that you can drop and and run it at 1 ohm daily at 14.4v to get 4500watts these amps are for daily driven vehicles even the amazing 7K it was already posted and tested on termpro as the "best 12v amp".... As for the guy that tested the 2K6D vs the 2 sundown i expect the same result or even better but you also said it stopped at 10min, i would not take that shit, i would send it back right away, and there would be No problem because of the best Warranty on the market unless you wanted to post that to make yourself feel good about buying some burnt, reused boards that was bought in Korea and made in someone's garage to be called Sundowns amps, that's fine and up to you.

Qoute from Bill.

"I've seen a few of the Stetsoms in person, and they did well. I have also seen the direct competition fail in the lanes with experienced people using them."

I hope this wasn't me you were talking about? because my amps have never failed me once! if anything i have failed Stetsom by putting a battery that was right i still gained a 155.2 before the amp protected itself and shut off before i blew it, and that is one hell of an amp, It actually protects itself and tells you what you did wrong!! WOW!! I read on this forum and a few others that the amps they bought are blowing left and right and the damn protection doesn't work, Tis.. Tis.. Sucks to be them. I know i was one of those people , Earthquake's MTX, Autotek's and Audiobahn and all of these amps were the top of the line shit that was suppose to give me big #'s with out any problems. This last week i tested my truck with one 2150(1.5 year old battery) and got my highest # yet so far with this 1 battery 157.2Db how many people can say that shit and still have no problems with there amps, I LOVE THESE Amps, So take it from a person that uses it all day everyday. THESE AMPS are STRONG and RELIABLE!!! :)

No Joey, I was referring to other brands that I saw fail at shows this year and last.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

Your right David, this should be a cool and chill but educating forum, i just don't like when people commit on what they so called "heard"... i just want to educate people and not get misled by all the B.S if brand X was better and people wanted to know something about it, i would not post because i never used brand X before,

Sorry Bill, I love ya man!

Team Bassick: No one is denying that the amp produces xxxx amount of power. BUT for daily use its not the best choice, tommy and I have explained why. I'll explain it again.

Only reason i brought sundown into the mix was to show that a 1500 watt amp uses 2500 watt amp parts, which shows it goes above and beyond and more than likely reliable by using sturdy part for "headroom". but for a 7000 watt to use 2500 watts amp parts it WILL eventually fail due to them heating up bad passing a surplus amount of power especially running them DAILY. or what Tommy showed that they just used 2 amps and slapped them together under one chasis, that seems like a big shortcut imo to cut.

All I am saying is Stetsom is not known for being used daily, they are pretty much just for burps.

Could you please explain why these aren't good for daily?

I can see they are different from the others inside, but logic would also tell me there is different quality of parts out there as well.

I mean if all boards were the same with the same parts then why would we have so many companies?

Do all boards have to have this to produce that?

And that amp will do 7000+

I am not a sundown guy, so don't assume anything.

I just know that the sundown is a solid amp that will do rated power and more.

I was merely stating that the components in this supposed 7000 watt amp are not even comparable to a 2000 watt amp (something you didn't even try to defend). One set of input terminals for 7000 watts? Give me a break. 350 amps of internal fusing for 7000 watts? Come on. At least make the amp with dual input terminals like it should be. Trying to pull 500 amps through one piece of 1/0 is going to cause some serious heat issues in the wire and in the amp itself.

And yes, I'm well aware of littelfuses and what they are capable of. D*mn near any fuse can sustain 200% of it's rating. I ran some AGU's last year in MECA that could withstand 400% of their rating, so don't try to use that argument.

The fact of the matter is that those ratings are pure bullshit just based off the components alone. If you try and pull a substantial amount of current through that board for any period of time, stuff will eventually fail.

But even if we skip over all the technical jargon, the most prominent voice of stetsom in the U.S., alan dante, is a complete f*cking asshole. That in and of itself would turn me away from buying anything that he endorses. And before you try to defend him in some way, I HAVE met him in person (twice) and my opinion of him did not change.
