mmets
searched and looked at the site but didn't see nothing. Have a 5k right now. going to be getting a couple level 5 15s whenever I get my taxes back. Hopefully will be ordered next month (early). I see that I can strap two 5k's at 2 ohms a speaker. What is the power I would be getting then? Thanks. mgameforever01
if you have each speaker at 2ohms, then at 14.4V you will see 2,300, a piece. Just check dc website on the 5k it says power on each

mmets
Yeah I would think 5 + 5 would be 10 but 5 is at 1 ohm not 2 so was wondering. Thanks for the responses and having me spend more money lol 1 Quote http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/177477-slowboring-07-trailblazer-build/Pioneer DEH-80PRSPRV 8MR400-NDY (eight) PRV TW350Ti (6)Sky High 1/0 OFC, 12 gauge and 8 gaugeTM Metalworkz battery terminals 120 sqft HushmatXS Power D3100 (6)Singer 350 Amp Alt Singer 320 (2)American Bass SQL3200 JL Audio JX360/4 Crossfire XS 8K (2) DC Audio XL 15s (6)
CJ18
With 2 5ks strapped at 2 ohm(each amp sees 1 ohm). This would yield 5000w per amp at 1 ohm giving you a total of 10000w. If you need any help when you are ready to get the subs or an additional amp, please send me a PM and I will be more than happy to help however I can. mmets
Cody, I have emailed you. You will be getting another email from me here in a few weeks once my taxes hit. Normally around the 10-12 of feb. Whatever day it is I'll send a email with a copy of my military ID and we can get them going. Hopefully I don't have to wait months for them though lol. Been building this one for over three months and it has sucked waiting that long. lol Appreciate everything. celticwind
I know this is a dead thread but I suck at finding needed info on forums... I am wondering if the dc audio 5k can be strapped to a 1 ohm load (.5 ohm each amp) has anyone ran a single 5k at a .5 ohm load? if so was it stable? has anyone tried strapping two 5k's at 1 ohm (.5 ohm each)? if so are they stable at 1 ohm strapped on music? also, whether stable or not does anyone know what the power rating would be strapped 1 ohm @ 14.4v?
