Am I damaging my woofer in cold weather?

you can burn your tinsel leads up if you play high notes in cold weather for a long period of time

That's cool, I live in South Dakota too :D I never play my sub full tilt in winter, no matter how long I've been warming it up.. When I get in in the morning to go to school I only play it on about 7-10 volume so I can still get a little bump but not too much just to be careful. I just don't take the chance I guess.

please explain why high notes specifically...... and leads heat up regardless over long periods of time during play no matter what the weather is....

South East SD? if so i may want a demo sometime ive never heard a DC before and was looking into getting one. Also you got a DD-1? lol ive never seen a fellow south dakotian on here before

You should be fine. If anything it might even be better for the subwoofers because they wont reach their thermal limits or get warm/hot anywhere near as easily. I have 2 T1s in my car and I've had these for 2 winters already and they haven't given me any issues.

Where you boys live in SD?! im in southeast SD. I live like 20 miles south of Mitchell. id love a demo from a fellow south dakotan. Would even be a plus if either of you have a dd-1!

I'm about 20 minutes south of Sioux Falls. I dont have a DD-1. youre about an hour away lol
