4 DD3512s 4th order in trunk!

very interested to see how this pans out. if i read your post earlier it said your 4th order ratio was very close to 1:1?

if im not mistaken, 4th orders should be 2:1 or even 3:1 in some cases and a 30hz tuning is crazy low. but hey we live and learn. if you are gunna do a 4th with dd at least you have the best woofers. only DD subs that like 4ths are 9900s and 3500s. but im very conserned with your box and cramming these in.

the higher the ratio the peakier the enclosure will be the lower the ratio the more flat of a response

That box design seems very questionable. We don't have all the specs, but seems small, port is skinny minus the exits, ratio is off,

Even if it sounds "ok", its not worth the effort or price the box costs.

there are 1:1 4th order but there not great. I have experimented 1:1 and there just not what you want it to be my best luck was with a 1:2.5. I am still try to figure out your getting that much volume in a trunk. I barely got a 13cuft in my blazer.

if it were me, id sell all 4 woofers, get 2 higher series DD and do facing forward and be louder, case closed.

25,35, and 99s work in 4th. I got one buddy with 16 2515s in a 4th order walk through in his dually. Bret Arcenaux ran 8 3512s in a 4th order wall doing 60s+. Now he's running 6 3512s in a 4th. Recently pulled his 2 9918s out on 4 m3as @ .25 each in a huge 4th for the 6 3512s
