Don't get me wrong, as I smoke Marlboro Reds, but if I saw one more kid with that smug-ass look (Look at me I'm smoking indoors) on their face, I was going to shove that thing so far up someone's ass that they'd look like a hillbilly trying to understand quantitative prediction theorem. hammiethebasshead
here is a vid about the dd1 and a demonstration vs an o-scope once you get a speaker moving so hard that its possible to make tinsels slap, you are already kissing "SQ" goodbye. S15_Silvia
Clipping IS distortion. Distortion is not necessarily clipping. "Distortion" can even be a good thing as long as you are sawtoothing and squaring things. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. hammiethebasshead
all I have is an o-scope and i can get the apps or I would do it. but I am interested as well how it will turn out once you get a speaker moving so hard that its possible to make tinsels slap, you are already kissing "SQ" goodbye. kingsuv
I have a pretty decent scope and I still do not have the resolution needed to detect like the DD-1 does. As much as I want to justify the price I paid for y scope to he DD-1 I can't in this application. Even if you only use it a hand full of ties, it is still a worthwhile investment. If you ever think you want to improve your skills as an installer, even if it is just for your friends, then these tools are a logical choice Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
hammiethebasshead
I love my o-scope and it works well but I need to just go ahead and drop the money on a dd-1, cc-1, imsg, and an amm-1. dd-1 is much more accurate than my o-scope I'm sure since it's just a cheapy but it's better than not having anything to tell where the signal is clipping, or distorting has payed for itself in non-blown woofers. once you get a speaker moving so hard that its possible to make tinsels slap, you are already kissing "SQ" goodbye.
