SnowDrifter
Can't say I've done it But it's just spray paint. TRON
I did a test peice in black, same sort of method you're doing: Almost a mirror finish with 3 clear coats and 1200 grit to 2000 grit then Nu finish and so on. Smoove
I will definitely do a test. I have watched several DIY vids and read several DIY write ups. Always looking for some additional recommendations based on experience. 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/

CNF Kevosinn
the van box is spray paint and its very glossy. just make sure you get lots of primer down so the color doesn't saturate into the wood. Also make sure you have good color coverage and at least 3 clear coats. I wet sanded with 100-1500-2000 then buffed with a dual action *** SuperSeller Status Verified *** ( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers/ ) "kevosinn's" astro van 8 custom Sundown Zv4 18's 4 Sundown scv 6000's CNF Distribution CNC parts Skyhigh wire some batteries SMD Meters and tools used on the installhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172877-kevosinns-vanwest-coast-skyhigh-car-audio-vehicle/ 16,000 watt walled silverado build.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161965-walled-silverado-4-hdc4-15s-4-crescendo-3500s-and-much-more/ 8,000 watt 1999 Subaru legacy outback. Smoove
I used plenty of primer on the wood and the fiberglass/bondo. I haven't done a clear coat yet. Do I wet sand before clear coating? Or just take it to a 1200 grit and then clear? Yes this is on white paint. 2 Team Fi 15's v1 2 DD M5's 970amps of Alt 6th order blowthroughThe truck Blowthrough build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155555-smooves-1996-chevy-ext-cab-c1500-slow-build/The 350z build : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/170694-smooves-2003-nissan-350z/ My FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Smooves-Car-Audio-and-performance/719746144805343 Team Fi Audio http://www.ficaraudio.com/

Cameronmyers74
you could take it a step further and wetsand with 3000 or a trizac 3000 grit pad, it will start to bring back the shine and make buffing easier. And for buffing I always used 3m compound #1,#2,#3. Also maybe pick up a cheap buffer?
