EDIT: I also dislike the fact the whenever the "loudest sound system ever" gets media coverage, they flake it over with the whole - If you want to listen to your music as loud as possible, come to this fuckin place. Audio is way more than just being loud, but they make it look like all we care about is playing loud music. I didn't read it but I assume it's under certain circumstances as stated above, but 154db just listening to it will not kill you. SLAYER1805 Posted February 5, 2014 Report Share Posted February 5, 2014 The way I see it, imagine hearing the upper upper frequencies (not gonna throw any specific ones out there since I'm no expert, but I'm sure some of you have a feel for what I'm talking about) at 154 DB, its totally different than hearing 20-80 HZ at the same decibel level. Extreme upper frequencies in vehicles with insane highs tend to me give me headaches and give a rattling feeling inside of my head, idk whats going on up there, but I'm sure its nothing good lol so I guess I can see how.
