Canada now selling crack pipes (vending machine)

Well just another example how the liberals seem to be taking over. Not only in America, but Canada as well. While watching Shaun Hannity last night, I learned Canada is now selling crack pipes out of vending machines for 25 cents. Is this really what we want for future generations? How much more out of control do we have to become, before people start saying enough is enough? Seems as though so many now a days only care about them selves and their right's, and not what's the best for us as a entire community. I'm sure their will be some who disagree with my opinion. But I only ask those that do to think about what you would want for your children and the future of your descendants.

The reason behind it is to help control the spread of diseases, which is a good thing. Also other nations that gave drug addicts needles, and a place to use drugs, resulted in less disease and less drug use, yes a small amount but still better than here in America. It may not be the perfect solution but at least they are trying to do something. Here in USA we go after the dealer problem is people are already addicted so there will be people that will sell. If you cut out the want for something then no one can sell.

I get that providing needles to people help prevent the spread of diseases but what disease does providing crack pipes prevent? I don't see the point of this.

As for the selling of crack pipes, that is the provision of a product that has demand. When you attempt to deny people access to that which they desire, you do not stop them from accessing it, you simply raise the financial cost of the product and increase the danger of both acquiring and of using it.

The alleged "war on drugs" that's being inflicted on people in the US has caused infinitely more deaths and financial loss than the smoking of a few crack rocks by a few troubled individuals ever could. Local, state and federal government agencies in the US piss away billions of dollars on enforcing their Draconian drug laws each year and the human costs are immeasurable.

You start by saying canada doesnt sell anything, then as for the selling of crack pipes. WTF. Well they are selling them and try and justify it as you may, enabling a problem is never the answer. When you make the punishment harsh enough then and only then will people start following the law. Just like back in the 80's in Malaysia the punishment for drugs, marijuana included was hanging. Thus they had the lowest drug problem in the world. The punishment for theft was to have your hand chopped off. Thus you RARELY seen someone missing two hands. In the late 90's they abolished these punishments and their drug and crime problem like most country's is out of control. Point being enabling will never help nor solve these problems that plague our societies.

Crack pipes have been sold "legally" in America for years. Look up 'fake rose in a glass tube'.

I worked in a liquor store from 2002 to 2004, and we sold so many of these at $1.75 each. Not to mention the scouring pad pieces (filters), for a quarter each.
