Bump4life Posted February 18, 2014 Report Share Posted February 18, 2014 if you dont have any kids or dependents thaen use the 1040ez form off the federal site. there are downloadable instructions. it can get confusing. there are other forms you could use for benefits. are you a dependent under your parents still? or you considered independent? i mean it in the legal way lol. THIS. In high school, a local H&R block did it for free for students, even though most of us got everything back from federal and state anyways. (I believe the cutoff is somewhere around $5,400. Then you start paying in) This year I filed it myself with 1040ez for federal. Check to see if your state has a online form, if not then go to a local post office and grab a form for school district, state, and local. If they have it that is. Bump4life Posted February 18, 2014 Report Share Posted February 18, 2014 just so you know dependding on if you are an independent or dependent you can "find" a lot of extra money. yea you can get it done quick and easy by doing the basics, but especially for state tax returns, you can see if you can get a lot of other refunds just to make sure, you filled out a federal AND state tax return in 30 minutes? for a first timer that seems rather quick. but kudos if it was that easy.
