fx4trucker Posted February 21, 2014 Report Share Posted February 21, 2014 its 2014 so its time for a new build. im so excided all new gear .. lets get started I didn't get much love on my last build so I hope I will get some for this one .. out with the old .. took out all the old fosgate speaker wire and ran all new sky high cca wire .. so far I got the 2 front doors done . still need to run wire to the a-pillars and kicks ill be doing .plus the rear doors and to the front seats. but no hurry to do that. out came the realm 4ch .. I thought it was a good amp until I hooked up the Memphis 4ch I got ..WOW what a difference .. my speakers came alive .. witch didn't last long so out came the super high end monster RCAs ( almost 1/0 thick ) in favor of some RF double twisted RCAs redoing the center console . redid my remote wire and switch. the sub amp will be on a on/off switch. the new gear 1. 15" RE XXX dual 2 ohm built a new box for the sub . 5.36 cuft box 4.5 after displacements port tuned to 32hz 1. set of hertz hsk 165XL 1. set of Memphis 8" mid bass speakers 1 Memphis 4ch 75x4 amp 1 Memphis 2500 mojo amp most of the build is done. box is done. some of the wiring is done . just have to do my doors . the other stuff will be done at a later time some of the plan I will be running passive for now .. until I can get the RF 360.3. will be adding a huge front stage .. a-pillars and kicks .. plus one set of speakers in the rear doors . the goal is SQL next year planning on adding a 2nd RE XXX 15 .. all speakers ( excepted for a-pillars ) will be hertz hsk 165XL's ... a-pillars will be hsk 130 (5 1/4 ) pics up in a minute alpine head unit (freebee 2009 model)2 sets of eclpise 5.25 comp. speakers. 1. set is in the a-pilors 1. memphis mojo 2500 watt amp 1. rockford fosgate t2 15" dual 2 ohm wired to 4 ohm . seeing 600 watts 1. realm audio 600 watt 4ch Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fx4trucker Posted February 22, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 22, 2014 before I post any pics let me just say that this build in my eyes is an epic failure.. I tried to cram 2 weeks of work into one since on was on vacation this week .. I failed because I didn't slow and plan better .. for starters the box is way to big. I thought that I would have enough room to keep the back seats in .. so now I have to cut 2.75 inch off the back of the box .. with all displacements ill be right at 4.04 cuft tuning goes up to 34hz .. the amps are mounted to the box so wiring look like shit. so when I fix the box ill plan a better amp rack. at that point I gave up and just want some tunes in my car. I got the hertz mounted to the stock location for now . I used my sail panel for the tweeters for now .. didn't even start the door panels .. the only thing that went right was running the speaker wire lol ..well you live and learn and I have learned my lesson here .. SLOW down and plan better and take my time no more rushing well the sub,amps and speakers are in and playing ...OMG the hertz are bad ass amazing I love them. they are now my new favorite speakers great mid bass super nice tweeters .. they keep up with the 15 .. and that RE XXX 15 is sweet too it hits OMG hard and at lower volume has great SQ im really happy with the way the gear sounds now I just have to fix it .. but as promised some pics alpine head unit (freebee 2009 model)2 sets of eclpise 5.25 comp. speakers. 1. set is in the a-pilors 1. memphis mojo 2500 watt amp 1. rockford fosgate t2 15" dual 2 ohm wired to 4 ohm . seeing 600 watts 1. realm audio 600 watt 4ch Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fx4trucker Posted February 23, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 23, 2014 sorry the pics aren't in the right order still having issues with the site .. it may look like shit but ut sounds amazing. the hertz are really killing it.. though I am a tad disappointed with the sub\. I thought it would hit way harder then what it dose or maybe its just me .. I got 2500 watts on it . it dose sound good as an SQ sub . maybe my box is just a tad to big .. I know if I cut 2.75" from the back ill be closer to specs oh joy ..
