2 4" aeros with one 15, help with box!!

Recommended Posts

I guess that the flared length that PSP gives is for their particular flares, generally speaking the effective length of a flared port is calculated like this:

The effective length as shown in the figure should be the 8.9".

If thats the proper way to make the port length then that lowers my tuning some i think. Doesnt matter, building a new box with 10s anyway.

this helped allot for me to! i plan on making my own flared and was wondering if you could flare them to much

from what I've searched i don't think you can flare them too much as long as the effective port stays the right length. i believe that no matter how much you flare the port only 1/2 an inch or so of the flares will actually be part of the port because of size.

i always flare the 4" pvc tubes with a heatgun and a bowl, and, i always cut them about 2.5" longer that what i want to use because each flare takes about 1.25" , so in other words, if i want a 17" long port with flare on both ends, i cut them about 19" long and flare them

Why not a single 6-8" PVC port. You can get either one through home depot or lowes.

Round port area

rxrxpie.

2" port

1x1x3.14=3.14 4=12.56 6=18.84

4" port

2x2x3.14=12.56 2=25.12

6" port

3x3x3.14=28.26

as you can see you would need around 8-9 2" ports, 2-3 4" ports or just a single 6" port.
