harlemn8ive Posted March 23, 2014 Report Posted March 23, 2014 I am gathering equipment for an upcoming build still new to many things looking for an active crossover that has a high pass and low pass filter for my front door speakers (mids and tweets). The more I look into it the more confused i become. because i only want to utilize the crossover for my front speakers I imagine i would need a crossover that would combine the rca inputs but I have been having a hard time finding one that does this. Any suggestions? And how would it be connected to the head unit if i am using separate amps for tweets, mids, rear doors and subs? harlemn8ive Posted March 24, 2014 Author Report Posted March 24, 2014 there is either passive crossovers, or active capable amps and hus Thanks. Stephen13 Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 Maybe I'm missing what it is you're trying to say here but you only need one set of RCAs from the HU carrying a full-range signal to the X-over. Then you need two more sets RCA cables to carry the signal from the X-over to the mid amplifier and tweeter amplifier. 2011 Chevy Silverado LT 5.3L 4x4 Ext.-cab "Enjoy yourself. Stephen13 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Have you checked out the Kicker "Front Row" processor / X-over? My primary reason for getting one was the time alignment feature. The fact that it was also a X-over was a bonus. 2011 Chevy Silverado LT 5.3L 4x4 Ext.-cab "Enjoy yourself. It's later than you think."
