Amart88 Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 As some of you know, one of my nendo 3500's that just got re-boarded was (from what I can tell) dropped during shipping while in it's box.. Nice round dent in the aluminum on the top edge. You tech-knowledgeable guys, What are some obvious things I could look for inside or out of the amp that would indicate a problem? What problems could this cause? I never got to test it yet, will be hooking it up tomorrow. Just preparing for the worst. Hopfully it still works. I have seen an amp fall onto concrete before and still works to this day. Thanks. My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
Leo1103 Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 Most obvious would be components that have broken off if the board. Other than that I'm not too sure. 2002 Honda CR-VAlpine 9887My BuildRebuilding... Soccerballzs Posted March 24, 2014 Report Posted March 24, 2014 Check the board for loose solder joints. Caps nice and tight. No cracks on board. hazestorm23 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Ups has done a number on some of my shipments before. Its like they just toss your box around. Last week I ordered an amp and was shipped with them and when I got the box wow it looked like they were tossing it everywhere the only thing that helped it was it was wrapped very well inside so no damage. And I know it was ups because they guy sent me pics before he shipped it out. I even called them and they said if there was damage they would cover it. So I would call nendo and find out what happened

After getting it back after waiting 7 months. The way UPS works is they only do the claim through the shipper which would be Crescendo. Now, don't get me wrong here on any of this. I am not trying to shit on Crescendo. Navid himself was good about the repair and returned my calls. BUT the packing job was absolutely terrible. 2 small pieces of foam and that was all. It was pretty much floating around in it's box. Was sitting on top of the remote cable when I opened it. I had it packed really well when I shipped it out. hazestorm23 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Seems unreal they would ship it like that. Probably someone was having a bad day and did a bad job. But yea ups claims are only done through the original shipper so that's why I mentioned call crescendo first
