How To Make Hydrogen Gas For Your Car

Recommended Posts

looks more like a meth lab. i could just imagine the look on a cops face after seeing that. that would be funny. hopefully it works.

  • 4 weeks later...

last night and today, I finally tried messin with this, I read up more in depth on how to do this, and the truth is, Hydrogen isnt that scary at all to play with...

Today I had made a hydrogen blowtorch, a hydrogen powered air gun, and well thats it, mainly just hours of messing around with it, and trying to find metals that work best, but this was with just stuff from my garage, I didnt buy anything.

But Iam with Wiggles on this, definitly trying it

The simplist way is to feed the HHO gas thru the PVC inlet to the ar intake, or if its carbureted, thru the PVC inlet there, wich I have a 65' Mustang I will be doing that with...(step daughters stang)

If you want to see the most gains, and also use alot more HHO/Hydrogen, you retard the timing so it explodes @ TDC

Shouldnt be an issue if you want to see just 25-50% increase in MPG

But anyways, Iam definitly making myself a functioning hydrogen blowtorch, that was fun fun fun- burns alot hotter than propane

And the misconseption of HHO as being dangerouse is more based on actuall Pure hydrogen, but HHO is made from the salt water, Hydrogen Hydrogen Oxide

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Mrwigglzdj...Here is the thing. How are you extracting your hydrogen gas from your container? Here is my thing. I haven't read what you are trying to accomplish here. Are you using distilled water? Is it just plain water or have you added salt to it? Could produce more gas by using a little acid in your solution. Salt water is what I have used to clean my coins that I dig while metal detecting. Pop you a hole in the top of your jar connect a hose to it turn it on. When you sart producing gas hold a lighter up to the hose and see if you have enough Hydrogen to produce a difference in your flame. Video that one. I may do this little experiment as well. My friend and I are wanting to build a HHO generator.

lol ive already exploded 2 of my little mason jars, on purpose, was fun didnt break any glass but the pressure destroyed the metal lids and rings.

and im useing simple tap water with about 1/4-1/2 of arm&hammer bakeing soda at the bottom of the mason jar.

to plumb the gas i figured the barb/threaded brass pice would work fine to connect multi units for more gas production, and then use thick walled pvc hose to go in via the pcv valve

rather simple, and use a simple 12v relay to allow it to turn on and off with the car

then the next move is the timeing of the motor not a big deal with a timeing light.

the main thing is being able to produce enough gas to do anything worth while with. and i do know the higher the voltage and the more metal in the water produces more gas than 2 pcs metal and at 12v.

might be worth while to get a power inverter and run a setup at 120v and see what that can do..

the only down side to the hydrogen that i have seen so far is you have the abilty to produce more gas than you can use and i havent the idea as to how to store the extra gas thats produced and not used... sucks makeing something and just leting it evaperate (sp)

i really need to get back on this deal and see if i cant get my van to run 25-30 mpg vs the current 16mpg

I have been thinking about this for such a long time. You ever consider using a "joe cell" - http://www.thejoecell.com/Plans.html

Are you doing this on a fuel injected or carbed car?
