I have a welder coming this week to weld plates over the cracks in the roof and then i am going to spread sound deadening paste over the entire ceiling.I will have pics of the process when it getting done. I think the main problem that the wood and expanda foam didnt work was that there was dynamat still on the ceiling when i did that.I think the expanda foam stuck to the dynamat but not the ceiling.So when the roof was flexing it was starting to peal the dynamat off.It would of worked alot better if the expanda foam was in contact with the metal and not the dynamat. I see, thanks for the reply, I'll keep my eye out for the update. I'm doing some bigger installs soon and tring to soak up more tips, I have been playing around with boxes/installs for 9 years but have still plenty to learn. May I ask was the V based on any model or thery behind the angle? I from my current understanding the angle will adjust the bandpass effect and also change loading of the drivers. I have no real theory when i built the clam shell.I'm more into just building something and not trying to figure it out on paper.(I suck at all the mathamatical stuff)But i do know that the size of the opening has something to do with tuning as does the rear chambers. Got the plates on the ceiling welded on and covered in deadner Here are some pics of the roof,its not pretty anymore but ohh well I'm going to try to get the cracks welded tonight,if that doesnt happen i will just caulk them and add paint.
