ParDeus
I personally like having the seating available, so that might be my preference. I guess I'll have to hear the wall first. I can't believe how cheap hdc4 18's are, btw. Awesome. Any comments regarding the sound quality question?
White Lightning
Any comments regarding the sound quality question?Sorry brother, but I do not consider sub bass "Sound Quality" unless it contributes to a Front stage and image. Now aas far as good sounding bass ... That's all gonna depend on your enclosure build skills. So unless you plan to go all out with a true wall ... I wouldn't get my hopes up. Most walls are meant to do one thing ... GET LOUD Now as for Blow through enclosures ... You can look at my "White Lightning" and tell that I'm all about Blow Through style enclosure builds !!! ParDeus
Thanks. I guess I didn't mean all out sq, but I would really like to have the ability to play from mid 20s into the the high 50s.
CleanSierra
If subs for a future blowthrough, stick to 12s or 15s. 18s have a hard time fitting usually unless you have a tall bed cover to allow for that height. I would like to have a double walled box and 15s fit the bill perfectly. HDC4s sound great and can sound nice and thought in the right box. And regarding bandwidth, you can easily get a regular vented cabinet to play from mid 20s into the 70s with a good box. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
