ParDeus
So, I put my 2 Havoc/zv4 hybrid 12's in a t-line in my truck (Toyota Tundra). I'm absolutely thrilled with its performance, range, response; everything really. But being I want to maximize what I have space wise, and the fact that it'd be uber expensive to build any more of these woofers, I'm considering going bigger, but not doing a blow-through (yet). So, what would you like? 2 15's? 18's? Six twelves? Big cone area, lower power? Or more power, less cone, more motors? (I know, big cone area, big power, but that = big $$$) Budget isn't an issue, but time is. However, I am thrifty, but not cheap. I'd like to be able to use whatever I get next in the future on the blow-through, x2 of course. I figure about 15 ft3. Thanks
timc31610
Where is the video of the two hybrids in the T-Line? I would do two 18's medium power, what amp will you be using? ParDeus
I haven't taken a video yet, but I might do it this evening... After the Masters is over, lol. The amp on them now is a MMATS D300HC @2ohm. I would like to get d2's for future subs as well.
timc31610
I think with that amp I would do 2 HDS318 D2 from SQ. Will be slightly underpowered but would slam and eat up all the space you have to offer. ParDeus
Ya, I was thinking the hdc3 or hdc4 18's. This will have to be a sissy wall, as I want to keep the interior nice for when the blow-through is done. Probably molded to fit with weatherstripping to seal it. Honest question- Will I ever get the SQ from a wall that I get with the tline? I mean I can play from where I'm crossed at 80hz, down to 28ish and it sounds so damn good. I mentioned before that I always hear people say they can do it, but I've yet to hear it.
White Lightning
Building a Wall is normally a step up from a Blow Through ... Not the other way around So If you plan to go Blow Through at a later date ... the idea of 15s or 18s is out of the question unless you give up your entire bed area. TeamHT
Agreed ^^^ Nice and loud but definitely NOT a setup up from any decent wall. Eight 12"s would be gnarly, hit up Tantric and check out some MDs or HDs Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
