You're gonna have to make an expensive decision here soon. Keep dumping money until you fix it, or write the truck off and cut losses. OR hope your mechanic can pinpoint the problem. If you was a customer coming into my job the next thing we would try (to keep some sort of diag down) we would take the the converter(s) off and start truck up. Me or the guys at shop dont have a tester to see if to much backpressure is building in exhaust so we'll run it open manifold and check that way. Can your scanner show you live data.
