hdorre
I finished my plate relocation. With a pair of 1.5" Corner brackets, #10 sheet metal screws, #10 bolts and nuts, and my drill.. It's done. Only look like 5-10 mins. No, I did not drill into my bumper. I drilled into my crash bar on the bottom. hdorre
^^ Top is using the OEM bracket Bottom is after If only I could smoke the bottom... Also, I finished the ports. On the inside, I used 2 part plastic epoxy. On the outside, I used amazing goop (I know). On both, the inside and outside, I went over with some gorilla tape. She's sturdy for sure! Ports and subs are installed. Subs are D1. Each sub has a coil wired in series. I see 2.1 on one sub, and 2.2 on the other. Then, the 2 subs are wired in parallel.. I see 1.2 ohms at the end of my 8awg to my amp. Looks good to me. I'm happy.. Also doors are in the gone stretch. Hopefully they'll be shipped out in 2 or 3 days. If I went in circles in this post.. My bad.. I'm a bit.. Yea... hdorre
I've been insanely busy, but here's an overdue update.. I got the subs playing last Saturday morning. All amps turn on, along with the 3sixty. All channels have output too. Woot! My doors/pillars aren't done, so I'm just using the factory rear speakers for the time being. Now, with these (2) 3" ports.. There's ZERO port noise. Whereas, the single 4" port had noise. From 32hz up, it pounds. The mid 30s - mid 40s straight up SLAM! I'm tuned to 35ish hz, and am strong down to 32. I can play 30 and 31, but it's quiet. Under that, it straight up unloads. My box designer and I figured this would happen though. I would extend my port, but they're as long as they can be. My only other solution is removing the 1/2" wood I added to the inside of my box. I added 4 layers to shrink my box.. But may take out a sheet or two to lower tuning. I just hope that the internal volume doesn't raise too much. I still need to overview my box sketch sheet and specs that I drew up when I built it. All should be good though. Meh, I don't have many songs under 30hz. Ill test, and test.. I guess. Now.. Voltage story.. Well.. Fuck. Lol. For the FIRST and one of the few times, I was able to get my voltage under 13.7 at idle. Makes me want to throw in the 2nd 3500 now lmao But I have solid plans for the future. I have 2 plans.
