xs 3400D

So i got my 3400D today and it says that i need to charge it before use. Okay i get that but it has all these instructions about how to charge it that are making me afraid to just hook my charger that iv'e got to it. (Just a charger i bought at autozone like 8 years ago that works good) So is it safe to hook a regular charger to it? or do i need some kind of special charger?

you dont need to charge it, just check the resting voltage

I always float charge mine with my black and deaker charger. Just me. If the resting voltage is good.. You can but I always charge mine before just so it's fresh.
