Okay so first off i'd like to start this thread by saying this, This is an invitation for people to learn/teach from my personal build i'd love to have some tips from some of the more expirenced builders out there... That being said I take alot of pride in how much Time and effort I have put into my build and I'm sharing that with you please no bashing what i'm proud of i'm sure there is bigger and better out there but thats not my personal goal. That being said I do plan on attending competitions and car shows with this vehicle. It is rare to find one of these things in such good shape I personally knew the previous owner and its no ferrari but I am proud of it!

Side note this vehicle has very limited space and I am trying to make the most bang for what I have to work with.

Still Working on some odds and ends but the majority of that is already ready to install, The Vehicle is a 1989 Honda Civic DX Hatchback

The alternator is installed with 1/0 to the battery and starter the largest i could fit to the fusebox was 4/0 without major modifications to the fusebox. Ground has been upgraded to 1/0 to the battery and the lower motor ground is 4/0.

Some Questions I have is order of operations for install any kind of advice is welcomed as long as it isn't bashing my equipment. Interested in Finding Sponsors once the build is Finished I plan on my career being involved with fabrication in general home audio mechanical electrical etc.

I have expirenece in metal fabrication and remodeling this is my first all out install though so I figured Blogging would be a good place to start.

Options For security system are a concern I belive I am going to install the actuator for the power locking doors but the vehicle has no elecrtical compenents really at all also seeking advice on relay installation and failsafes for the security system. I would like to use the remote start but the vehicle is a 4 speed standard. I dont know if that complicates anything but I'm all ears Look forward to working with some of the best in the business and building a Team SMD and CAF have been inspirational to me. Also I'm looking to tune a box but I dont know the deminsions that I have to work with yet because 4 amps means i'm going to have to stack them on the back seat the goal is to maintain all the seating availabilty and not have to lose the back seat. I want to add to the look of the interior not destroy it plan on carpeting and vynl fiberglass and bodyfiller to make a seamless install. thats a diagram for what i have in mind for the amp rack mounting solution I would make it look clean of course but being sturdy top priority.

Thanks for your support I'm diggin the 350z router is in the mail and I will build the amp rack shortly after It gets here still working on fastening solutions and support brackets for added stability I want a seamless look but I dont have much room to work with so I'm limited

Okay so I'm having one more problem with power distribution I have 4 amps as i posted and a capacitor so I Was interested in options that have the posibility of expanding as I may toss a Couple 8" Shallow Mounts under the seats of my car Only thing stopping progress Is my router which will be here the 5th and Now I'm Gonna Need to find a way for distribution block I dont have a table drill knu concepts is the only thing I've seen that is even close, I dont need it to be fused because I'll be running In line fuses as needed... Thanks for the Help Guys Also interested in knowledge with dynamat I plan on doing the whole care with dynamat but I'm Curious as to weather I should run Dynaliner as well or if thats just overkill I plan on getting everything done at once thanks guys

Much Appreciated Guys yeah I'm a sucker for a EG or EF I'm stoked to get the ball rolling Drawing drafts for a workbench I'm Clearing out some Garage space and Doing some remodeling on the House right now So its a little Hectic with work so I'm Trying to find time To keep this thing in motion, I really am stopped up on installing a relay and security, I've never installed a security system but I'm Pretty good With electrical just doing homework drawing drawing and more drawing

Update Fixed/Plunge Base Router Is in with circle jig Time to get to work with the wood, Clearing out alot of garage space tomorrow to get the work started as we speak I am working on a Final draft for my amp rack its going to have to be very precise I think I'm going to have to design templates for each one rough cuts aren't gonna get it done Also starting another project for my friend, He has 2 18's in the back of a malibu maxx, lots of work to do, once I start stripping for dynamat I'll cut you guys in on the goodies Still sketchy on how many amps I need to run on a relay to be safe, prolly go get the fire extinguisher recharged before I start doing any serious modifications to the wiring harnesses need to pick up some 8 gauge wire and probably 10 or 12 haven't decided yet for the relay its going to need to hold some interior lights 4 amps and a capacitor along with an auxilary power port, so close I can taste it Could put everything in right now but I wanna get it right the 1st time, Things to do before full install... 1. amp rack esign 2 securtiy system options (power doors) 3 relay installation 4 Dynamat! lots of work to do once I get a nice workspace setup I'll probably live in there haha. Updates coming soon.
