Is Trey Gowdy Obama's biggest Nightmare??

Recommended Posts

On a side note their should be a test for voting for president, but we all know that will never happen.

There is:

Read the Constitution for the United States. Article 2 section 1 explains precisely who votes for president, how, and who is excluded:

2: Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

This is one of the last checks against democracy/mobocracy/socialism left to us. The theory being that the electors are well educated statesmen who have the option to vote their conscious when they actually sit down to elect the president. Notice the last few elections we've been hearing a lot about the electors in the media. It is my belief that very soon there will be some "crisis" orchestrated to convince the masses to abolish the electors and turn the presidential election into a popular vote.

I'll wager virtually nobody has even read the constitution, and IMO if you haven't read it, you don't even know what our government is, and you have no business voting, or discussing important issues.

Both sides of the government are the same. They want our money.

The only difference is how they plan to get it.

Then vote for the lesser of the two evils: the ones that want to deregulate everything so that industry can thrive, which drives UP wages and thereby taxes, or the ones that want to control and regulate us into oblivion, which drives DOWN wages and somehow in their minds drives UP taxes.

I just don't grasp what makes a liberal think that a system like the one they want to set up actually works. It's failed or turned countries into the third world EVERYWHERE it's been tried. The Republican establishment, for all their faults, are the only thing holding them back.

While it has been some years since i have read the constitution. I still stand by my statement. However there is no test for each individual, which equates to voting for the president. Either way the whole system needs to be thrown out and rewritten, laws abolished and enforced. But that's just my opinion.
