So one of the guys on here helped me out and gave me a nice box design that im gonna be building inside my trunk. This is my first time building a box inside my trunk im sure its not that much harder but the only thing im woundering about is how to screw everything together ive seen kreg joints being used and they look good and all but for 130$ for only a one time use doent seem to worth it and ive seen people use angle iron. Any help would me greatly appreciated

Use the kreg cleansierra linked to, put plastic down in your trunk to catch any random glue. Pre assemble the box and drill all of your holes outside the trunk, take it apart and glue and assemble it on your trunk and prepare for a sore neck and back the next day...Lol

Me and a buddy built a box in his trunk for 2 15's. Work well and is a solid box. Like said pre assemble everything before hand. For us we had a right angle drill attachment which helped a lot. We also used lots of brackets on the inside of the box along with lots of glue and sealed if all up with silicone. If you can build the box in 2 parts and just assemble the two inside of the trunk do that.

I helped out with a trunk build for an HDC3 18 in an 02 corolla, we used tounge and groove joints and pre built the box outside the car, and since it took up almost the entire trunk we used angle iron on the inside in the places we couldnt get the drill in to from the outside and it worked pretty well but if you gonna use that method use tounge and grooves and seal all the edges.

While it's a very strong joint when done properly it probably isn't something you want to try on your first build due to the added difficulty. You would need a router (preferably a router table) and two different bits to make the joint. I think I would stick with the Kreg .
