You'll get some great experience without a lot of investment. So...four 6x9's in the rear deck and that's it for highs? To each their own, but if it were me, I'd put those 6x9's in the doors and cut a big hole in the rear deck for the trunk to vent into the cabin. Maybe even rotate the sub box around to see how it performs at different orientations. Thank you. Yea, being a novice + being impatient + slight OCD = bad decisions. I really don't know what I'm doing. The plan is 3.5's in the dash, AC delete and basically replace the vents with tweeters. I'm going to build a center console and put some 5.25's or something idk yet. I'm just taking it one step at a time as my budget allows me. I already wanna start over and take the back seat out and replace it with subs lol. Maybe a wall in my future. Something you could consider for your next build is seal off from the trunk and firing into the cabin. kjvsop Posted May 25, 2014 Author Report Posted May 25, 2014 I bought some more fabric to redo everything. WAY better thank the junk I had. The new stuff is faux leather. The old stuff looked like a thick trash bag lol. I got the rear deck completed, waiting for sunlight to install. It turned out decent. I used 1/2" MDF. Wasn't long enough (my mistake) so I covered it with hardboard to extend it on both sides. Crappy pics, I'll try to remember to take some more outside with good light when I install it. I decided that I'm going to pull everything out and re-wrap it with this new fabric. Old stuff on bottom, new on top. Tried to get better pics but most of them weren't very clear.. Some metal was already cut from previous owner. I cut some more. Nothing special.
