shit... jeep's are money pits for sure...

anything fun is a money pit in all reality.

Truth.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

You forgot to mention car audio... lol! But you're right. Everything is expensive... I need to find a cheaper hobby. Maybe I'll take up knitting or something

Ok, so I've come up on a problem now that I've got the alternator installed. It doesn't charge at an idle. As soon as I give it a little bit of throttle, it goes right up to 14.3V. But I had it idling for a while here, and my voltage actually dropped to 11.9. I've got a video uploading right now to YouTube, I'll post it up once it's done. In the meantime, anyone know what the issue is? Did I get a faulty alternator?

Semi-common. Do you listen to tunes just idling a lot? If not I wouldn't worry about it a ton. Do you go to shows and demo all day? if so yea something needs to get done. Either way man I see what you're saying and it's annoying, I would want it changed/fixed also. But, it does happen to others as well and if you don't plan on sitting there idling much then it's not even really an issue.

I forget what people have done to remedy it.

EDIT: I am noob, sorry I couldn't help. =(
