should i replace or add

i currently have memphis audio components in my front doors being ran off of my headunit im going to buy 2 ft1 super tweeters and 2 8in pwx midbass. should i just replace them or add them in im going to get a 4 channel amp for them when i install them.

I would add them and see how they co-exist. Possibly could mess with the crossover settings and have the Memphis take care of higher frequencies, leave the lower for the 8s. but it all depends on how they sound to you

So you may run two completely different sets of speakers up front?

Definitely replace.

"Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.

I would put the Memphis comps on an

Amp before ding anything else. If it's still not good enough then replace with new stuff. For sure don't run comps off the head unit and decide that you need more so get pro audio stuff. Get an amp and they will sound better louder and more clear.
