csshakka Posted July 8, 2014 Report Posted July 8, 2014 If it goes straight to protect as soon as you power it up, the most likely culprit is toasted transistors. Might be worth fixing. If you have any experience desoldering/soldering components onto a board, it may be worthwhile to look at. You can youtube a couple videos about testing and replacing the output transistors. This is a very common amp failure point and easy to fix. That'll cost what, like $10 to fix if that's the problem. If it's not that, it probably won't be worthwhile unless you know what you're doing. EDIT: Or just use this broken amp as an excuse to upgrade
