Aussie Lexus 4 x 18s walled, big power, 12 batts, custom trim, custom doors, fresh PSI recones, quiet

Recommended Posts

I was just about to grab an LS400 to do 2 18s walled in, lol. I'm tuned in just because I love LS400s!

From the looks of it, its a UCF2X, correct? Can't see the tailights but the headlights look like a '95.

UFC20 I think mate? I think it's late built 1994, I think it's a 1995 year model though, if that makes sense

I got it for a steal, almost everything worked, interior is not too bad, just filthy, front seats are getting reskinned. Body is a little bit rough in a few spots, but I'll fix them up. Rims will come too once I find a set I can tuck under the rear guards?

Sides are pretty much done. I decided on only double layer, the steel and the bracing I'll be adding inside will make this plenty strong :)

You can see how tight it hugs the car's body, nice big wide front on the box now, and very little gaps around the 'B' Pillar

I think it turned out not so bad

Kind of looks like mine :) Seems as though all steel cage builds do 160s.

im just. i cant even. makes my build in a sedan look like poo

Thanks mate. Apples and Oranges though, your system is not permanent like mine, you can't exactly just go and start welding steel to your daily drive. That's why I bought this car to do this specifically to. I've built quite a few walls before so this one I'm just trying to smash it out nice and quick.

Thanks everybody else, and in regards to the magical 160, I don't think I will get quite that loud with the current gear in the car, it's only going to be a basic 12v system, amps at 1ohm etc.

I just want her reliable and to sound good. :)

I can always step up the gear once everything's built if I need more :)

Charge wires ran through car. Alternator is currently standard but will probably throw a mechman in it? Gonna keep it 14v for now.

Ran the cables through the factory grommet, under the carpet, under the void space at the front of the box and out the side. Not a fan of cables under the car.

You can see the roof has been done, had to do it in two pieces because I couldn't fit one large sheet in the car unfortunately. It'll still be strong.

Rear wall going in, first layer. You can see the access I've left for the fuel pump.

It looks a bit gap city and horrible but I promise I will get it done properly. You'll see :)
