may03LT
Swapped decks to the 80prs so it was time to retune the amps. The last time I dialed in my system was a LONG time ago using my velleman hps10 and autosound 2000 disc. After seeing the dd1 go head to head with some super fancy scopes I knew that if I ever changed decks I would get one. Tuning with the DD-1 was as easy as it looked in the videos. I followed the manual and got the max undistorted volume of 60/62 on the prs (standard mode). Went to the mids/highs amp and dialed it in. Went to the woofers amp and dialed in. I probably spent more time looking for the prs remote then I did setting everything up. All in all I was impressed with the DD-1 and I'm glad I got it. So from a first time user, just wanted to say that this thing is boss. Good job!.

Skater229
I had one a while back and did my levels, but I had let it go and since then I have made a few changes to the system so I needed one again... So i agree with the "you'll only use it once" to be BS also... That and I have a few folks down here that I will be helping to set there stuff up... Good news for me... Just scored a DD1 and CC1 last night for a great price... 1 Quote 2010 Chevy HHR Panel (Work in progress) Pioneer AVHX-5800BHS McLaren MLM880's and MLT2's 2ea per door on a DC 175.4 Two DC Audio M4 Level 5 15's On A DC5K Alt CES 200/270+ 4ea Banks of Maxwell 2.7v 3000f caps for a total of 2000f 1ea XS 3100 and 2ea NSB FT170 Batts for 450+ah Not a HUGE build but here it is... Jessica
i set someone elses gains once. They changed it like 1 hour later. i set my gains about a year ago and my dd-1 has about 1 year worth of dust on it. I wont set anyone elses gains ever again. My equipment still works, theirs' is long gone. Moral of the story, dd-1 is worth keeping around regardless of how often you use it Quote Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. Karkov
I use mine a lot, switching 0 db to -10 and everything inbetween. Every time I pull an amp out the vehicle I use the DD-1 when putting it back in even though nothing should have changed. I use it time to time just to make sure things are the same as I am anal about my setting being right. Also, I use the CC-1 for frequency setting and gain matching so that I use a LOT more. Skater229
I guess the worst that could happen is scratched CD's or lost/broken cable... I like the rubber case to keep it from getting beat up...
