dylan117 Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Ok, so I've got 2 DC XL 18s and I want to put them in a 6th order (already have a design) they will be in a 1:3 ratio with the rear chamber tuned at 26hz and the front chamber tuned at upper 40hz. So how does that tuning and ratio sound to you guys for daily? I'll post a pic of the box in a minute
Kevin M Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 In for answers. There is way too much mysticism around them. I mean we're talking about group delay right? Isn't that what makes or breaks any enclosure good for music. You tune the rear to the sub's Fs and then run a sweep to find the resonant freq of the rear and tune the front to that right? 2005 Ford Focus zx4 AMT's and Planars 18" Infinite baffle

Dwn4BassAlan Posted July 16, 2014 Report Posted July 16, 2014 Like everyone else said, if you can build it right, it'll be worth it. Precision and testing/tweaking over and over will get you some great results if done right.
