Yes. Soundstream was shit. Years ago, and now, now its a different story. Some people have actually come to recognize that they have made progress in the right direction. And I am not saying everything they make is awesome. They still have some stuff that's a bit questionable. But they learned their lesson about a lot of things. Their amps are rated correctly now, and they are not made with cheap parts. I have put their amps through hell and back and have never had a single issue with them. i wouldnt know much about soundstream dont there amps only do rated at 15?Anyways im not switching amps thats not the issue at all. I would say show me a better 5k amp.... no that was only the old xxx amps. I would get a plan, and test at ever level of the plan. Seal off test if adding power is down the road, Play with port/vent (shrink it, and i bet your band width will tighten up, just me) test play with volume. test yadda yadda..... Good luck, i kinda have the OPPESTITE issue, i cant peak real good. lol..... maybe its time we both go to a BP design. I have installed DD amps, Rockford amp, aq/sq amps, and more. I have seen DD amps in action plenty of times. Don't get me wrong they are great amps for sure. But not for me. They are (imo) power hungry and expensive. I don't care for them. My soundstream amps have done everything I have expected them to do and more. Like I said I have put them through hell and have never had an issue. They are fairly efficient, affordable, and you can wire them to pretty much anything and they will still play.
