Nathan Young Posted July 23, 2014 Report Posted July 23, 2014 hello i just gonna jump straight in to it i got 2 12'' kenwood excelon kfc-xw12 at 4ohms kenwood excelon xr600-1 headunit :pioneer avh-6500dvd memphis audio 6.5' memphis audio 6x9'' prefab dual port 12'' 4 gauge wire my lights do dim it just i feel that i'm not getting all the power i can from it or is it just me i can take videos if you want just ask thanks ! im in a 2003 jeep grand cherokee laredo the lights dim and then go straight back on i had my amp "professionally tuned" by soundaudio in ft myers florida but ill find out what the gains at when daylight hits

Most stock cars should handle 600 watts no problem without dimming. I'm willing to bet your gain is to high and you are clipping which increases your current draw which may possibly explain the dimming. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Not to mention his alternator is also PCM controlled.
