SundownZ71
I plan on running a D3400 as my primary and to a CT sounds 500.1D. Is that too much for the amp, or is that okay to do? I'm also new to this, so forgive me if this question is stupid.

ToNasty
A big battery won't affect the amp like that. noobslayer77
Batteries won't stress your amplifier. However, adding additional batteries will make your alternator work harder. With just 1 battery you'll be fine. I had 2 batteries and had some voltage issues on a stock alt. I upgraded my alt and ditched the second battery and went with a d3400 up front. running aroun 1500 watts, voltage doesn't drop below 12.5 at idle on full tilt. 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries
MrSkippyJ
Just adding an extra battery shouldn't really affect your alt. You shouldn't be using the alt to charge batteries anyway.
