RooTxBeeR
I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 pro's and was looking at a amplifier to get for them to get them really alive. I also have a question, most are line in RCA, so I would just get a 3.5aux to rca so I can go from my computer to the amp. Then just plug into the amp, correct? bigmizzle99
If you are going to use those phones with your computer, Better sound quality would be to use your USB instead of the headphone jack and get a combo DAC/amp that can plug in to usb. I have one of these and its real sweet http://www.fiio.com.cn/products/index.aspx?ID=100000012071912&MenuID=105026002 Camaro SS Build Altima build 2.0 Altima build 1.
RooTxBeeR
I have the option of optical also. I just don't know of any amps that use it. That's why I asked about the RCA's On 11/20/2012 at 8:54 PM, AMI CUSTOMS said: Turned mine up today at a light, guy next to me his steering wheel started moving and he looked over at me like I was a magician lol. It was a big difference between amp'd and non amp'd. Krakin
Get a Schiit Audio amp. I run their entry amp on my HD 650's and love it. Edit: though that said July 2nd.. Whatever. Edit #2: I don't even know the calendar anymore... Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. STEvil
Build one using the PCB out of an old cdrom/DVD drive. Fairly easy to do. alternately you could use a home audio amp and plug into the headphone port. If you want the best quality you need to use optical or digital output. USB isn't very good for some reason though, would have to google the reason to tell you why though and I'm too lazy right now. Depending what you want to spend USB would be fine for average quality though. Those schiit amps look really nice MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
