Karlswinslow Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 so I'm running a 15" power acoustic mofo on a hifonics brutus elite, i have a voice amp running about 2 10s / 2 8s / 2 6x9's 2 5" and about 6 tweeters. its a bullshit voice amp.. don't even know the name, autotek or something.. problem is, if i play my system hard enough for a little, the whole shit cuts off. and both amps cut off.. i checked the voltage upfront when its playing.. its at about 13 something... then checked the amps straight and when the music cuts it goes to about 4 volts.. i have only a yellow top and a 90amp alt.. any idea what that is? also... I'm running 2 x12's soon, what alt should i get and would 1 yellow top in front nd one yellow top in back be okay?

Chris Strausbaugh Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Well if you're running 8 speakers and 6 tweeters off of one amp there's your problem right there. What's the ohm's on that like .0005 lol
Karlswinslow Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 when the whole system cuts off, from the amps it drops to 4.. but from the battery it stays around 13. even when it cuts off.
