Anthony Amaya
My apologies to everyone I'm not entirely sure why I wrote clipping.i meant to say distortion. The 10 are on a separate amp from the 12 and in a separate box. This is the problem I'm having. with my bass knob in the middle and the amp tuned with a multimeter(best thing I have). Average bass songs hit good but there is an occasional song that hits way to hard and causes my subs to distort and begin to pop but when I back the amp down to play that song without killing my subs and average songs don't hit anymore. And my bass knob doesn't have enough room to change the bass so I have to always wonder what song will come on next or have much less bass than i should. SIDE SHOW
Retune it with that song then.... (and do a search on how to set gains)
hispls
How about just turn down the volume when things start sounding bad? You really don't need to spend a couple hundred dollars on testing equipment when you have a fucking volume knob.
Anthony Amaya
Obviously I turn it down when it sounds bad but every time it happens is shortening my subs life. But thank you for your completely useless comment
CleanSierra
Get all 3 subs off of the same amp(especially since they are mismatched). Go with all subs that identical and at an acceptable ohm load that is safe for the amp. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. CleanSierra
Ditch the 12" sub, build a custom box for the 10s and let er rip. Get the gains set with an O scope or a DD-1 Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Anthony Amaya
10s are in a box with one amp powering them and 12 is in a Separite box with a SECOND amp power it
CleanSierra
Still, ditch the 12" sub. P.S. Sorry I didn't read your original post properly. If you need subs that get louder(if the 10s are not enough for you on a custom box), sell them and get better press on order to get louder. There really is no substitute for properly set gains either, like WITH a DD-1 or scope. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
