Our cars aren't even remotely similar but I had the same issue with boxes and output. Sub forward port side worked quite well for me. Perhaps give it a shot?

I did subs up port back in my jeep liberty and did a 149.3db sealed at the dash on 2 15s.. maybe give that a try?

I've tried a lot of variations best I saw was a 145.9 today, but after doing three box swaps, relocating the sub amp and battery I am tired. So I left my port/subs up box in sounds great and even though it's not the loudest box I am gonna stick with this for a while.

Why are your boxes only around 1.75 cu ft per sub?

Seems small to me. I did my Zv4 12 on 2.75 cu ft and it pounds on the SAZ-2000D.

Because the ZV3s do not need or like LARGE enclosures when going for SPL over LOWS.
