Chode69
you'd be surprised how well wood glue holds together. You ever try ripping 2 pieces of wood that were glued together(with wood glue). It wont rip where the glue joint is at all. the wood itself would give in first.... i used titebondII on all of my boxes and a few that i broke down after the screws were taken out the box still held together, after kicking it the box still held together, after dropping it 6 feet the box still held together, after throwing it down from 6 feet the box still held together but had a little crunch sound to it, after taking a hammer to it and putting multiple holes in it the box started to break apart but not fully. good glue is TOUGH. Shyne151
if it only neaded glue not nails then the box wouldnt of blown apart im going to screw the hell out of it before i put it back in . i dont think glue will hold a box tegether with four twelves and 3000w.probally why steve and alot of other guys fiberglass there boxes cant just glue together Well you obviously a. haven't built alot of boxes or b. are not building them properly because wood glue will make a stroner bond than the mdf itself. dmanson
yeh bro, you got to use titebond ............... add the screws with it and it's a wrap. besides the titebond creates a seal in the gaps while creating strength between both pieces of MDF Quote 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative. kingsuv
ill have to check out what kind of glue it was probally cheap shit I use the Elmers Pro-bond, have for years. It's one of the cheaper glues out there. I like the refillable containers. Now I just refill off the gallon jug I got. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes.
