Syphlyn
Hey should I fuse between the alt and battery? mechman told me not to due to probable voltage drop across the fuse. All my wiring under the hood will have tech flex insultherm which is good up till 1200 degrees. The ring terminals will be soldered on and heat shrinked with those SHCA heat shrinks. It will be all away from moving parts/hot parts of the engine. What do you guys do and what should I do? OrionStang
I don't fuse mine, but many people do. If you took a true poll, Id bet it would be close to 50/50. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
White Lightning
I've never had a fuse between the alternator and battery. I'd follow Mechman's instructions ... OrionStang
Id also consider if your battery is under the hood, or in the back. Under the seat or in the trunk. If in the back, fuse it for sure. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
Ritch40
i see no need for one between batts and alt. i do suggest you make sure there is one between the batt(s) and vehicle.

Battery is under the hood probably a 24-30 inch run with wiring. BY battery to vehicle do you mean my main power run from the battery to the amp? If so, then yes of course. deadbroke
I wired directly to my battery not wasting money for those fuses but I did install a fuse between everything else on my battery positive
kylet1644
I personally would not as long as you have one on every battery.
