I seriously doubt they would put a jet ski engine in a bike They would basically have to completely redisgn the the engine so at that point they might as well just design a new one specific to the bike. Jet ski engines and motorcycle engines are two completely different beasts.

Really? Have you never seen a chevy 350 in a boat? Ever heard of rat rods? An engine is an engine, this comment shows your complete lack of automotive mechanical knowledge.
Nice try at attempting to make me look stupid but it's a completely different thing don't believe me do the research yourself. Also before you try and insult my mechanical knowledge you might actually have to know what it is first.
Dude, an engine is an engine. You mount a solid part of the block to a solid frame (usually with vibration dampening) and match the spinny output to the thing you want to spin. Of course cooling will be different because of the available cool water source of watercraft. Beyond cooling it's just a source of powered spinning.

You continue to show your ignorance by furthering this discussion.

how about you stop trying to insult my intelligence and prove me wrong then an engine is not just an engine jetski are purpose built have you ever taken one out? Taken one apart? They aren't even designed for a normal type of cooling system they pass water straight through for cooling no closed loop no water pump no radiator and hell the water even passes through the exhaust show me how your going to just slap it on the bike and be done. If you run a jetski engine out of the water you will literally melt parts. Could you maybe modify the Cooling system the exhaust system and all the other mods that would be required to make it work? sure maybe you could but the cost to engineer that and all the mods that would have to be made you'd be better off starting from scratch plain and simple. Now you want to respond and talk further try doing it without insulting me and maybe we can have a intelligent discussion about it instead of you just making statements with no actual description of how you could make it work and you just trying to make yourself seem smarter than me. Guess what you aren't and you have no clue of the mechanical knowledge I do or don't have. maybe instead of being an ass about it we can discuss it like adults.

Just like Miguels said in post #26 the jet-ski engine is based off the zx-14 engine...

Much of what we are disagreeing on may just be semantics...

I'm saying the most of the mass (block and rotating assembly) are the same. They all have an ignition, cooling and lubricating system. One can fabricate any engine into any application...

What you're saying is that there are many intricacies that are different from marine to land engines, such as marine specific coolant passages and perhaps materials for corrosion resistance and what not.

With my knowledge and perspective they ain't all that different. I misspoke, with your knowledge and experience you think they are way different. I act on the forum as if we are all a bunch of cock-sure jocks giving each other shit in the locker room. I didn't mean to hurt your feelers.

Supposedly some info about the engine got leaked it's claiming that it will be a 1000cc supercharged inline 4 making 222hp

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

All new engine, 222 HP, breaking the 300 km/h gentlemen’s agreement

The “friend of a friend with inside connections at KHI” (funny thing to name the whole corporation instead of Kawasaki) apparently indicated that the H2 will be a 222 horsepower bike equipped with a completely new, in-line 4, 1,000cc engine, with a centrifugal supercharger. Even more, the “leaked info” also mentioned that the H2 will be the “quickest and most powerful Kawasaki motorcycle of all time.”

While the latter might very well be a true claim, given the premises we’ve got so far, and the H2 could indeed beat the ZX-14R in a straight line or a race, the rest of the data must be still regarded with skepticism.

Truth is, one of my pals who is also a journalist with close connections with the industry told me that rumors in his area are mentioning a ZX-10R supercharged engine, but again, without anything to back this up. He also mentioned about raising the bar as far as the speed limit was concerned, with 299 km/h (186 mph) being too low a figure for the upcoming bike. The same source also spoke about a special paint used for the bike, and the fact that the front end of the machine will be exceedingly aggressive and “crazy,” to use his own word.

Until then, Kawasaki prefers to dish out another funny teaser showing us some retro and contemporary footage of KHI workers assembling gas turbines. Clearly an effort to link the modern upcoming bike to the heavy industry heritage which comes with the Kawasaki badge, but once more, offering nowhere near enough info as to what the H2 is going to be like. The next teaser, and possibly the last one will surface on 24 September, ahead of the launch.

The thing looks fucking sexy to me! The single side swing arm, the sharp lines on all the fairings, the tire hugger looks sweet as well. I wouldn't buy one myself due to comfort factor but I love Kawasaki and this is just another great bike added to their line up. Can't wait to see one out and about and maybe at the strip near me. Currently bikeless myself but one day I will have another! I miss my Ninja with this awesome weather we've had here in Ohio.

New to the car audio world and looking to learn as much as I can.

I'm betting the price tag on these is going to be really high to deter inexperienced idiots from running out and buying them.
